The book "Immortals". Ukrainian state symbols in folk embroidery and weaving". This is an ethnographic photo album in which embroidered and woven exhibits with Ukrainian state symbols and their motifs were published and described for the first time.<br />
During the research expeditions, the team of the public organization "World Embroidery Day" collected more than 350 exhibits from the beginning and middle of the 20th century, about 200 of the most unique ones were presented in the publication.<br />
Embroideries and woven items with state symbols of this period have not only high aesthetic value, but also historical value. Most of them were created during the Soviet occupation and were evidence of cultural and political resistance to the totalitarian system.<br />
The scientific processing of the collected material was carried out by specialists of the Folklore and Ethnography Center of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.
